Sunday Roll Call
Good morning all, hate to rub it in but it is warmer up here than down in the Chgo area. 
We are off to a small Willow Creek style church here in a little while and then onto the next location to stay in downtown Dells. The little hotel we like to stay at is the only one that is right on the Upper Dells part of the river that has a view of the water. We will also meet up with a girl that we befriended several years ago that works in one of the local downtown restaurants and say "hey" and catch up on each others news.
Been enjoying the walking even with my cast and "sticks" - that is what I call my crutches. The Wilderness Resort is so large that you cannot help but get exercise even if it is all inside. We sat in the hot tub (very large as it holds 46 people) yesterday and it had a door that goes out side. I have done that before but am still always amazed with the fact that you do not get cold outside especially with the wet hair. We do not think that we would stay here again because every thing is so spread out. Next time we are going to try Kalihari as it has its indoor and outdoor areas close together. Kalihari is where we go for Thanksgiving dinner every year.

Good Morning Christine and Everyone,
Christine it sounds like you are having alot of fun up there. That is where Rich and I spend out honeymoon 10 years ago and we have not been back. Sometime we will get there again.
Today I am just going shopping with a friend. I have a roast in the crockpot for dinner.
Got all my christmas decorations up yesterday except for the tree and I do not know when I will have a chance to get that up.

We still don't have the tree finished. We had to take all the prelit bulbs off, since they decided to stop working, and yes the fuses were good on all the strands. I did get the bottom third restrung. Heres hoping DH gets it done before I get home tonight. I am meeting my Monica for Sams Club and shopping today.
My sofa and 3 chairs went yesterday. Now hereshoping my new stuff arrives shortly. We still have furniture, we moved the love seat out of the office, amd brought the rocker out from the bedroom. When we are shopping, I want to look for some lamps. I want to get some new tables too, but they will wait.
The Sunday roast will be put in the crockpot for later.

Christine I am glad you and Dave are enjoying your trip. I have to agree, I do not enjoy hotels with everything spread out so far apart. I would rather hike outside than inside.
Lisa, it sounds like you are on a buying spree. New car, new furniture etc. Sounds like fun!
This morning it i****ting me that I leave for Florida in two days and when I come back on Sunday I will only have one day before surgery so I need to get lots done today. I just checked out the weather for Florida and it will be in the 70's and 80's. I will take it! I get to spend Saturday night with Carla K as I can't get off my sisters island early enough to catch my plane Sunday morning. You can only get to the island by barge/ferry and it doesn't start until 8am and that is when my flight leaves. It is kind of confining when you have to plan your outings according to the barge schedule. Kind of like a curfew. They stop running at 9 or 10 at night. You miss the barge and you are out of luck. If you are on the island and for some reason the barge is not running, you are not going anywhere unless you have a boat. But it is well worth it. The island is beautiful. Can't wait.

Chris...I 100% agree with you on that the Wilderness is to spreed out. If you want to enjoy one thing, you realize it is in the other water park, so you have to lug everything over! We went there when Maddie was little and didn't care for it. The animals are cool though! We really like the Great Wolf for the reason that everything is in one place and it's a little cheaper than the Kalahari. Don't get me wrong...the Kalahari rocks! Did you get the service men/women rate?
Well, everything here is good! Still trying to lose, but am still on a stall- I'm just really enjoying life and am very thankful for so many things! I hope you guys have a wonderful week and a safe Thanksgiving!
